As migratory birds return this spring, reports of the highly contagious H5N1 avian influenza are spreading across Canada. People are warned not to handle dead birds and are asked to contact the Canadian Wildlife Health Cooperative at 1- 800-567-2033 if you observe sick or dead birds.
