R.I. Author Captures Struggles of Threatened Wildlife.

To tell their story of survival, the Burrillville, R.I., resident traveled the Pacific Coast from California to Alaska to document the status, health, habits and personality of sea otters — a species unique to the West Coast that was hunted to near extinction during the late-1700s and mid-1800s.
