I have always been a Naturalist, I just didn't know it until now. My childhood heroes were Jane Goodall and Dian Fossey and I spent my time in the woods behind our home with a little notebook and pencil writing down observations of the animals and birds that were abundant. Even the litter of kittens born to a "stray" cat were the subject of my notes whilst pretending to be Jane.
Currently, I am a trainee in the Texas Master Naturalist Elm Fork Chapter Class of 2016. Woo-hoo! I am just getting started but it has re-fired my passion for nature and the flora & fauna of our beautiful state of Texas. I look forward to what lies ahead!
