This Saturday I went to Pillar Point at around 2 pm. I was able to make many observations, I was fairly surprised to have found as many things as I did on the coast. Lots of dead crabs and shells scattered on the sand. The smell was pretty thick, some areas full of flies so stepping over the covered sand was really interesting. Near the edge of the beach I scaled a few rocks and found little shelled organisms attached on almost every surface and the view was really amazing.

Yesterday I went to the Purisima Creek Open Space Preserve, I didn't go very far into the trail since it was pretty long for the time I had. I was able to make 8 observations; however, I plan to go to another park over the weekdays and make more observations. I left in the morning arriving at 8 am, the weather being on the colder side. The area was really damp so I was able to find some fungi, lots of collapsed trees and branches.

Over the weekend I made a trip to a trail in Burlingame at around 9 am. The trail was surprisingly very simple , so I didn't see as many overtly different organisms. The morning wasn't very cold and despite the amount of bikers and people, I found an insect crawling on the trail. I didn't make as many observations as I would of liked/expected so I will likely make another more local trip to a hiking trail or park over the week; It will likely be early in the morning.

Over the week I had gone to three different locations, going to both trails and parks. I had gone during the afternoon on Friday making observations as I walked to a short trail as well as on Saturday morning going to a trail in moss beach. On Sunday I went to a park that contained a variety of birds and some other domestic animals. The weather was very good over the weekend so going to these locations I made a good variety of observations.
