Heads up: Some or all of the identifications affected by
this split may have been replaced with identifications of Oncorhynchus. This
happens when we can't automatically assign an identification to one of the
output taxa.
Review identifications of Oncorhynchus clarkii 68075
DO NOT COMMIT!!! Please do not commit until all subspecies' swaps have been conducted and the consensus of the fish community is to go ahead with the split.
According to Markle 2018, the Cutthroat Trout has four distinct species level genetic delineations, and are separated into the four species:
Coastal Cutthroat (clarkii)
Westslope Cutthroat (lewisi) - with 8 undescribed subspecies
Lahontan Cutthroat (henshawi) -- with 2 undescribed subspecies
Black-spotted Cutthroat (virginalis) -- with 3 undescribed subspecies
Unintended disagreements occur when a parent (B) is
thinned by swapping a child (E) to another part of the
taxonomic tree, resulting in existing IDs of the parent being interpreted
as disagreements with existing IDs of the swapped child.
Identification
ID 2 of taxon E will be an unintended disagreement with ID 1 of taxon B after the taxon swap
If thinning a parent results in more than 10 unintended disagreements, you
should split the parent after swapping the child to replace existing IDs
of the parent (B) with IDs that don't disagree.
