I am a dam caretaker, a job which requires living five days week in the Santa Barbara county back country, a naturlists dream job! I am also a docent at the Santa Barbara Botanic Garden and a huge fan of the channel islands. Number one on my bucket list is to join the All Eight club, seven down one to go. I am new to birding and can now be found occasionally skulking about our local hotspots. I have dedicated my life to observing and being a steward of our environment.
