I am the Botanist for Shenandoah National Park. I manage the forest long-term monitoring program, and the rare plant monitoring and protection program for the Park. I also do many support tasks such as helping manage natural resource volunteer projects, environmental compliance field reviews, assisting researchers working in the Park, and answering visitor and staff questions about plants. I spend a lot of time in the office, but also relish time in the field. I also enjoy taking virtual field trips with iNaturalist to learn new things, and see what others have found.
