PhD student majoring in conservation ecology about grassland plant communities in Japan. I'm learning and training vascular plant taxonomy for my own studies on iNaturalist.
I feel it's great to be able to share observations across borders and language barriers. Some of the Japanese grassland plant species have derived in the glacial period from the subarctic or arctic region, so I'm checking arctic/subarctic flora, too.

As a curator on iNaturalist, I constantly check and revise the scientific names, Japanese names, and taxonomy settings of mainly Japanese vascular plants. If you have also any other questions or messages, please feel free to tag me. I’ve studied plant taxonomy by self-taught almost all. So, please forgive me if I have made mistakes because of my lack of knowledge.
