I love to learn and teach natural history. As a child, snakes were my gateway into the natural world; as an adult, my interests have trended towards botany and mycology. Among many fascinations, I have a particular fondness for seeking out shy species of Southern Appalachian orchids. In 2016 I launched a naturalist guide business, Snakeroot Ecotours.
