I’m a Swedish plants systematist (now retired..). My PhD was a monograph on Metalasia (1989), but since then I have described a couple of new species, of which a good deal was collected by Nick Helme. A few spp were also described by Annika Bengtson who made a Ph D (under my supervision) based on molecular data, and which covered the Metalasia clade. I work on the Arctotideae - Gorteriinae, and especially parts of Berkheya, since some 15 years. I have done field work in most parts of South Africa (some 15 trips..), often in company with Robert McKenzie, a dear friend and colleague.
