Your friendly neighborhood turtle nerd.

I spend my free time documenting turtles in the wild. I've taken part in surveys for Texas Turtles, the Trinity River Turtle Survey, and the LLELA Box Turtle Project and was formerly a board member for the Turtle Race Task Force. Currently, I collaborate with Texas Turtles as a field technician, helping to build up their database. My camera of choice is a Nikon D3300, though many of my up-close photos are taken with a phone camera. When I'm not outdoors, I can often be found identifying turtle observations here on iNat. Feel free to ask me questions regarding identification ad I'll answer to the best of my ability!

New species peronally documented this year:

Species I hope to find this year:

Yellow Mud Turtle (Kinosternon flavescens)
Texas Diamondback Terrapin (Malaclemys terrapin littoralis)
Texas Tortoise (Gopherus Berlandieri)
