As long as I can remember I have loved observing animals and plants. In college I took a concentration of science courses for teaching certification. Although I chose a career pathway in social sciences, my interest in nature continued It has served as a hobby which brought stress relief and centering. After retirement I began hiking and became intensely interested in wildflowers. I have learned much from INaturalist and participants who help identify specimens.
