I am a vegetation ecologist by training, with a PhD looking at the spread of coast wattle (Acacia longifolia ssp. sophorae) in the Glenelg Plain bioregion of southwest Victoria, Australia.

I have a specific interest in the local plants of the Volcanic Plains in SW Victoria, and spend my spare time finding them, enjoying them, and protecting them. I particularly aim to record species from the ‘blank zone’ in the map where there has been heavy clearing over 200 years, to demonstrate that there are still things to be found even in a heavily cleared environment, if you know where to look.

I greatly appreciate assistance with any IDs of things I am not 100% sure of!
