Entomology was a passion which started to develop in my teenage years. Rather quickly, my interest became focussed on sawflies. After a variety of other jobs, I began work as a technician & researcher at the German Entomological Institute, now part of the Senckenberg organisation, in Müncheberg, east of Berlin.
