Environmental historian, but still an active learner when it comes to the actual environment and its organisms. My wife Shruti and I are amateur birders and both fascinated by a variety of species. We have worked in higher education in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Indiana, and now Texas. We're excitedly exploring western species in our new region but still learning--we welcome any and all help and feedback on IDs. I'm also a fly and spin angler and interested in riverine species of fish, birds, mammals, and insects. Many of the species I identify are spotted while fishing or hiking.
