I'm a lifelong learner, especially interested in trees and other plants native to my area, Washington State.

I'm interested in growing and identifying Washington native and naturalized plants. I'm also interested in learning to know and identify conifers, bulbs (especially Lilium), weeds, and many edible and medicinal plants.

I identify iNaturalist observations in Washington State with no filtering on my query, which is a great way to learn about life in my local region. I will add identifications to any observation I'm confident I can correctly identify.

I have favorite genera or genera I want to learn, so I will identify those genera in other regions at times.

I am learning, so I'm not always right, but I'm happy to explain any identifications and correct them if necessary.
