I am a teacher of Natural Sciences in Bologna. I graduated in Agriculture at the University of Bologna, with a thesis in Agricultural Entomology on the resistance of various pear tree selections to attacks by Psylla piri.
I have been a member of the Italian Entomological Society for about 15 years; my preferences go to Coleoptera, Cerambycidae and Curculionidae in particular.
I collected beetles for about 15 years, until my children were born. My collection (about 2000 specimens) was donated to a fellow entomologist.
I currently try to instill scientific passion in my students, in the hope that, as they increasingly appreciate the beauty of the variety that the world freely presents to us, they will become more capable of protecting the environment in which we live.
