I was born in 1948 (solving the mystery of the 48 behind my name). I served in the United States Navy in Vietnam from 1967 to 1971. I retired from the Southern California Gas Company in 2004. I have volunteered as a Naturalist with the non-profit Southern California Mountains Foundation for 12 years. I became a Certified California Naturalist in 2013. My primary responsibilities involve performing as a Naturalist, Information Specialist, and Trail Guide in the San Bernardino National Forest. I've been married for 41 years, have three daughters, fantastic son-in-laws, and 7 grandchildren. There you have it, like it or not.
