Worked on spiders in ancient semi-natural woodlands in Argyll and Inner Hebrides in the late 1980's then employed as Ecologist for 15 years. Regional manager for RSPB nature reserves for a further 10 and then Operations Director for RSPB covering South Scotland to present. Lived on the hill, in the middle of nowhere since 1995, loving the wildlife, peace and weather. Still dabble in all aspects of ecology, especially in my local patch.
