I observe, identify, and help curate taxonomy for bees, wasps, and additional wildlife and have helped add complete species checklists including unobserved species for NYS and additional global locations. My main interest is the discovery process of first online identifications of rare, undescribed, or new species and new species locality records. My entomology and taxonomy experience and training so far includes a related Biology B.S. and M.S., BugGuide.net Contributing Editor, and having helped a NYS pollinator survey, briefly volunteering at a museum insect specimen collection, and leading a Thacher State Park pollinator bioblitz walk. If viewing my observations I recommend the Has Photos search filter. Along with pollinators, some of my photos explore urban ecology, urban greenspace, green infrastructure habitats such as parks and green roofs, and the natural rewilding of abandoned built environments. Feel free to message or ask about my IDs or comments. I try to check all notifications although sometimes after days or weeks, and occasionally don't see notifications so remind me if I don't reply.
