I am a biologist, professor emeritus of Biology. My interests are Native plants of California and the American Southwest, birds of the world, tropical fish and invertebrates. My graduate work was in marine crustacean taxonomy. I have traveled extensively around the world and observed life forms everywhere I go. I live in San Francisco, California.
