Hi,
I was born 1960 in Berlin and still live there.
My interest in natural sciences started when I was a child.
In my vacations I collected fossils, shells and rocks.
After school, the first thing I studied was paleontology.
I love to be in free nature far away from human settlements.
So I was on many hiking tours with my tent in foreign countries.
Due to the former historical development Berlin has many green places.
After the reunification of Germany I conquered the nature of surrounding Brandenburg.
Since I can't travel far anymore for family reason I put my attention on things in the near.
One of my greater hobbies is nature photography.
I also enjoy identifying as many species as possible.
I did this as a child and grew around 130 different wild herbs in my garden.
The neighbors weren't so enthusiastic ...
I am not a specialist in any kind of biology and do not yet know whether I am really right here in inaturalist.
But I am confident that others will be happy about my pictures.
