Today, I walked through the paths of Edmands Park, which is right behind the Newton Campus, where I live. I went by myself with some headphones. It was a little bit chilly with a little breeze and no sun. I really enjoyed this walk; it allowed me to take a step away from the monotony of school and just walk around nature for a little it. There were a lot of trees and small vegetation that grew around the pathway. I noticed that lots of the fungi or lichen grew near the base of trees or on dead logs. I found it really interesting how there are so many different types of fungi in such a small area. I would never have known had I not been looking for fungi.
