I saw a piece of the milky way last night. Not to be confused with a con trail that was more S>N. Whipporwill has not returned.. Things starting todry out after soaking rain. They said lake came up two feet, but NOAA

says only half foot.

I heard the first Whipporwill this evening. It came close sang for a few minutes and then whippored off.

It is significant to me because I arrived at CHSP and there were whipporwills all over the place, then is Octoberish, they all went away. Well they are back.

Its Tuesday the 11th and rained like hell last night, maybe about an inch. Nice and cool today.

I finally connected my camera to my computer and may have a few observations to upload/
