Healthy female young adult. Ears missing. She was lying on her back when found.
Unable to determine with certainty whether ears were removed deliberately because the body has probably lain there for about 48 hours. The neatness of the ear removal on one side suggest it was deliberately removed with a knife. However only about half of the other ear removal is neat, and part is more uneven, suggesting that part has started being broken down by insects.
The ears were probably removed deliberately, so will tag this observation to the other observations of roadkill with deliberately removed ears which has been happening over the last 3 years (since during the covid lockdown).
