stormy-'s Identifications

This bee did not move while I observed it on an anemone growing in the Rosehill Garden on the east side of David A. Balfour Park at noon on an overcast day in Toronto. The temperature would have been about 15C and certainly colder overnight.

The bee has smoky wings, yellow hairs in its vertex and neat yellow hairs on the thorax and the two upper abdominal segments.
