Incredibly small! Entire specimen was ~2cm wide. Found floating in some water at SPMC so no idea about habitat
It doesn’t look like other Callophyllis on this app, but scroll down to the very bottom of this page and look at the second to last species: https://www.centralcoastbiodiversity.org/red-seaweeds.html
Anyone have any other ideas?
Also looks like it may be reproductive? (See my second photo)
More of a coral-pink colour, though my camera couldn't capture it. Potentially UV reactive.
This seaweed clings to rocks and is called Sea Moss or Nail Brush Seaweed.
Very small - about 4" long. In ice on driftwood after storms and King Tides.
