plumage indicates non-breeding male or has not yet completed molt to breeding plumage
the male of the resident pair perched on a branch about 8 feet from the nest. He appears to be looking directly at the nest. Shortly after this photo the female left the nest and the male took her place. She was gone 12 minutes then returned, resumed incubating and this bird left the immediate area.
