Western red cedar, grand fir dominant area along the creek. With a few younger charred cottonwoods.

Fruiting abundantly throughout the forest floor in a 2 year old burn along Sears creek.
Cup margin with pale scaly tissue.
Odor slightly of broccoli/spicy.
Harvested 8 specimens.

Left rust colored liquid when damaged.
On trees in old burn area (fire three years ago).
Fruiting beneath grand fir, vine maple and Ponderosa pine.
Greenish black patina around margins.

Melanoleuca angelesiana group(Pseudoomphalina synonym):
Old fruiting body beneath Ponderosa pine, grand fir and vine maple.

In our backyard rhododendron blooms.
Very large stature.
Agrocybe putaminum/flexuosipes:
Fruiting in hardwood chips/mulch off of Lilly rd.
Small stature(compared to praecox).
Stem: Lacking partial veil, vertically grooved, clavate(broader at apex).
Harvested 6 specimens.
Removed a single gill from freshest specimen and mounted in 3% KOH.
MICROSCOPY:
Gill edge: abundant cheilocystidia throughout.
Cheilocystidia: abundant, utriform, mucronate to strangulated, medium sized.
Basidia: 4 spored.
Spores: elliptical to ovoid, apical germ pore, medium/large, thick walled.
Dehydrated all specimens and bagged for herbarium collection/genetic record.

Large/robust stature.
Smooth, purplish gray/brown caps.
Leathery, strong, thick partial veil.
Squat, thick stipe, abundant rhizomorphs at base.

Two fruiting bodies beneath Douglas fir.
Vibrant neon yellow gills. Notched/adnexed, slightly decurrent.
Non-staining collection.
Odor: pleasant melon rind/mango odor.
Harvested both specimens.
Applied Ammonia to cap tissue of larger specimen.
Ammonia: Purple immediately, drying reddish maroon. See shots of reaction included.
Removed a single gill and mounted in both Lugol’s and 3% KOH.
MICROSCOPY:
Spores: elongate elliptical, spindle shaped. Medium sized.
Pleurocystidia: very large! Thick walled, double walled, subfusoid-fusoid, broadly spade shaped.
Basidia: 4 sterigmate.
Lamellar Trama: bundled layers of globose to subglobose elements.
Laid 1/2 of larger specimen’s cap directly on a separate slide to obtain spore print.
Spore Print: Dull Grayish, pinkish yellow. “Dusty pinkish cream” in direct light.
Mounted spore printed slide in Lugol’s solution.
Spore printed slide micro: mature spores Dextrinoid in Lugol’s solution(rusty ferruginous brown in Lugol’s).
