This is one of several mature American beeches growing NE of Peace Dale Reservoir. Unfortunately, most of the leaves have a blight-like condition. Will the tree survive? I will monitor it.
This is one of very few mature beech trees that I have found that does not have much (if any) BLD. I estimate that 90-95% of the leaves look healthy.
I am posting this observation to highlight an example of an American beech that has no sign of BLD (so far).
