This will not just let me put MOTH in the species as a very general name - So I'm not sure if it's actually correct. Very feathered at the end of the wings and base of the abdomen. Up close it looks like has been sprinkled heavily with pepper.
Very well camouflaged moth found on the underside of rotted wood. Closed wings alongside the body when at rest, long triangular shape. Prominently fluffy head with large black compound eyes and thin feathered antennae.
Fluff on the abdomen creating a ridged silhouette when viewed from the side. Specimen around an inch in length from snout to vent. Tapered legs/feet. Mottled dark browns, greys and white flecks.
