Under a fallen leaf in a flower bed.
• A cluster of fruiting bodies found on the bark of a shrub (live, genus unknown) growing in a shady area after a period of heavy rain.
• Initially all fruiting bodies had an orange sporotheca and white stipe.
• Eight hours later the sporothecae of most of the fruiting bodies had turned brown.
• Stipes tapering towards the apex.
• Peridium of sprothecae had a crusty appearance.
• Measurement markings in photo in millimetres.
I wondered if this lovely purple and white slime mould might actually be a chocolate tube - I returned 5 hours later to see if there had been a change and quite a dramatic change there was.
I returned again 11 days later - have added an image and a gif showing spore release.
• On the top of a large wet, lichen and moss-covered tree stump in a forest along a stream.
• Fruiting bodies approximately 2mm in length.
• Ruler markings in photos in millimetres.
• Fruiting bodies grey-white in colour.
• Raining at the time. Grey-white spores puffed from the mass of fruiting bodies as the raindrops landed on them.

About 2mm tall. Fruiting body about 0.5mm across. Now empty of spores?
