Very healthy looking mistletoe, growing on an old rainforest tree, possibly a White Euodia , in a wet area near a creek, on the edge of a patch of rainforest.
These dainty little bell-shaped caps with their outward-rolling margins look like the frilled skirts of dancing ladies. Beautiful colours, ranging from pale apricot to cream, giving such a delicate, ephemeral appearance.
Washed up on the beach. Slightly soft to touch.
Pupa of some beetle or moth? Found in kumara garden bed while harvesting.
