On wood in the ground. Looks like a mold is attacking it. Matted hair like tufts on the cap.
Found at 4800 feet in Southern oregon near Lake of the woods.

Notes: Fruiting beneath Douglas fir and Western red cedar in a location where abundant flushes have been common in previous years. Came late this season due to over two months without any measurable rainfall.
