This grass is flowering at the moment. Flowers are easiest seen on short mown lawns where the flowers form white threads above the level of the grass. In my lawn (which is not mown short), the filaments are hidden below the level of the leaves. The filaments can be as much as 5cm long with anthers on the top. The female flowers are separate and I haven't seen these yet.
Growing in a strip of native planting, bottom north-west section of the park.
Male flowers. I don't know if this patch of kiekie is planted or wild. There is another patch nearby. Most of the plants had flowers. Will be interesting to see if the local possums find them.
Male flowers. This vine regularly flowers well.

Planted in the park. 2m high shrub in a shaded location under native planting. Leaves sparse on the shrub.
Interesting the way the new aerial roots are the same colour as the flower.
