Presumably M. australiense but Finke R population is known to be long isolated and genetically distinct from other lineages (Murphy & Austin 2004). Animal released alive.
Huntsman c. 5 cm across, runs quickly
Subadult BL~ 17mm. Found feeding in direct sunlight around midday, 38C. On top of a post.

Perhaps Huntsman species? But doesn’t have the flattened body.

looks like O. scyllarus but it’s really dark in colour, which is confusing. never seen one that dark before
