Up to 8 birds observed feeding on casuarina
Dense black wattle regrowth at 18 months after high intensity fire. Some resprouting eucalypts and one euc sapling (3rd photo) can be seen, but black wattle is the dominant species on this site currently, and presumably for some years to come. The 2nd photo helps confirm the ID, with interjugary glands but no jugaries on the leaf.
Small snake squashed on road. Kid's gumboots for size reference
Interesting that the wonga only appears on the trailcam when there are crimson rosellas around. I wonder if s/he is flocking with them?
Ignore the satin bowerbird in the foreground. I believe it is a spotted quail-thrush walking across the middle.
