Small outcrop on bony ridge. Seem to be growing fairly well given the substrate
Might be pure M. laetum in this case because of the conspicuous leaf glands, but the leaf buds look mostly green.
I think this one might be a pure M. insulare: no oil glands on leaves, no sign of dark buds, and the flowers seemed on the small side.
My first thought was M. laetum, but on second thoughts it might be the invasive M. insulare.

A hybrid individual seen at Kapiti Island in the marine reserve by Ben Knight. First seen January 2018. Suspected to be a hybrid between two species in the same family: Chirodactylus spectabilis X Nemadactylus macropterus.
My mother photographed this on the beach. Less than 2 feet long. Anyone have an idea what it is?
