Specimen was found on roadside, yellow, Opuntia flowers. Not present in abundant numbers compared to other Acmaeodera species. This is perhaps the first time it has been collected in the United States in almost 50 years. Range extends from Starr Co., Hidalgo Co. and south to Queretaro, Mexico. Specimen imaged is female.
