Exciting!

Thank you for those who have joined us this week--the first week of the 2020 BioBlitz!

Centre Region Parks and Recreation is looking forward to getting this baseline data in the 11 parks chosen for this year's BioBlitz. If you haven't yet started, don't worry; there is still plenty of time as this event runs through September 30.

We're looking for data in the categories within our project--bees, butterflies, moths, wasps, bats, and more, plus flowering/pollinator plants. You have to be quiet and have patience to photograph those moths and butterflies, but enjoy your time in the various parks while waiting for those photo captures! The 11 parks include Cecil Irvin Park, Fairbrook Park, Tom Tudek Memorial Park, Circleville Park, Bernel Road Park, Oak Hall Regional Park, Spring Creek Park, Eugene Fasick Park, Blue Spring Park, Millbrook Marsh Nature Center, and Lederer Park.

The weather looks great for Saturday, so grab your smart phone and take a leisurely walk in one of these BioBlitz-participating walks!

Thanks!
