I am retired from my career job in finance, and now devote a lot of my life to volunteering in nature. Just as someone prepares and studies for a career in business, I have been doing the same with my pursuits in volunteerism. I completed my Ohio Certified Volunteer Naturalist Program in 2016, and continue to take classes online and in the classroom on a variety of nature subjects.

My husband and I live on 25 acres in Northern Wood County in Ohio. We transformed a soybean field into a wonderful homestead with trees and fields of prairie grasses and flowers. And yes, we currently have 16 beehives on our land that are owned by a local beeman and his son.
