I'm a retired micropalaeontologist. I enjoy all aspects of nature, and as I now live in a forest, I'm busily photographing everything that moves, and some that don't, with a view to learning more names of the species around me. In this I am a total amateur. I really only have any expertise in one field (Foraminifera: protists: small marine and brackish water fauna that you probably won't notice unless you look hard with a hand lens.)
