I am from Los Angeles, CA and grew up near Venice Beach. My observations of the natural world have developed in an urban setting and during my childhood travels through Sequoia and Yosemite.

Nature is all around us. My belief that society and nature are intermeshed and there is no solid boundary between "nature" and "civilization".
