Solitary winged insect on condominium siding in afternoon of a mid-June day. The structure abuts a Massachusetts conservation area with a forest steam and vernal pools. There had been light rain earlier.

Note the dark markings on the wings with tan transparent areas. There are three legs that aid in its attachment to the vertical wall. The antennae appear serrate as found in the female Chauliodes rasticornis (Spring Fishfly).

A rabbit on a parking garage grass median by a walkway on the edge of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Spring (55 degrees F and sunny). No other rabbits were seen in the area, and this one had little fear of humans.

A group of mushrooms in a flower bed at the Foxborough Regional Charter School. They were photographed in the Fall after a rain.

The mushrooms with broken stems were likely injured by students playing.

Note the upward triangular shape on the mid-torso bands. These helped rule out the yellow jacket fly, Virginia flower fly, robber fly, and a number of other insects.
