A parliament of Owls
I found a parliament of Owls by accident! Wondering how can that happen. I was birding one morning in an enclosed all weather road and was recording several bird species. I noticed there was a House Wren displaying agitated behavior and I looked up and found 5 gorgeous Vermiculated Screech-Owl roosting under a thick vines and twigs.
I posted to Belize Birding Network and the comments received portrays that not a lot of these reports have been documented or photographed. I personally think it was a great find and I noted a recently fledge young and the other appeared to be adults. Nice find and hoping to see some more of these species around.
