Arcata Marsh - February 24, 2019

At 11:45 we arrived at the Arcata Marsh from South G street. When we got there it was raining and the temperature was 50 degrees Fahrenheit and the wind speed was at 11 miles per hour. At 12:10 we arrived at Oxidation Pond 1 to observe avocets. Although the mud flats were exposed, there were no avocets in sight. We did get to see many ducks, as always, and were able to observe an egret that was really close to the path that we were on. After walking around the Oxidation Pond we reached our willow tree at 12:28 and proceeded to fill out our data sheets. After taking the four pictures needed of our tree we headed back to the parking lot and left at 12:51.
