This was a 10-minute field trip, 0955-1005 to look for birds on the UVM campus. We left the Aiken Center and walked to Royal Tyler Theater to check out the conifer stand. It was mostly sunny, 20 deg F and slight south wind. The part of UVM campus that we visited consisted of several tall buildings and an open green with scattered trees. All birds were either seen in flight or on the buildings.
Not much bird diversity, but this was a practice run to check out our iNaturalist skills and add to the UVM Ornithology Project. There were 73 of us contributing to this observation.
