I'm an Adjunct Professor of Computer Engineering & CEO of a software strategy firm. Nature is my way of stepping away from the keyboard and being engrossed in a subject completely for fun.

I became impressed with the skill of the iNaturalist software team and decided I wanted to participate in a bigger way, so I now curate observations around Lake Frederick, VA in the Shenandoah Valley. I also occasionally help by contributing coding improvements to the Android application.

We have three projects:

• Animals of Lake Frederick
• Plants of Lake Frederick
• Life of Lake Frederick (observations of previous two combined)

Participation is easy, upload your observation with GPS data and it will be auto-collected into our projects.
