I would. The child taxa will get shifted under Diaporthe as the parent genus but the species should still be called Phomopsis lactucae. It looks a odd to my botanical eyes, but is a good interim solution. The zoological bias of site treatment of taxonomy comes out - combinations having no nomenclatural status in zoology and people shift epithets around at will.
@cooperj This one gives me pause due to the fact that P. lactucae has not been combined into Diaporthe. Do you think it should be committed?
