Rare Species of Oregon

The Oregon Biodiversity Information Center collects, manages, and shares information on all of Oregon's rare species including plants, animals, marine algae, and fungi. One of our key roles is to collect and maintain rare species locations. We use this information to assess species' statuses, create distribution maps and models, and to assist agencies, researchers, and private organizations in their planning, prioritization, and management.

Observations of rare species from the iNat community can help us fill in the gaps for species distributions and update us on the status of locations, and through this project you can learn more about what species are or may become rare or endangered in Oregon.
